विकृति – PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Obesity is resulted from disruption of अग्नि (Agni)
Agni is responsible for conversion of food in seven basic धातु (Dhatu – elements – building blocks)
These seven Dhatu are Ras – Rakta – Mamsa – Med (fat) – Asthi – Majja -Shukra
Disrupted agni resulted in production of low quality of Dhatus (Specially Med Dhatu – Fat tissue), which are called Aam (Toxins)
Increased low quality of Dhatus, clogged communication channels श्रोतस (Shrotas), which carries nutrients and dhatus throughout the body.
The clogging of Shrotas aggravate Vata Dosha (वात दोष)
Aggravated Vata Dosha further disturb the Agni, causing repetition of events which causes obesity.
This cyclic process is responsible for obesity.
